Case Study Preview: Enhancing Family Engagement to Support Student Success – Chronic Absenteeism
At ECINS, we believe family engagement is a cornerstone of student success. We are collaborating with a Maryland school on a case study showcasing how our Student Engagement Module, adapted as a Parent Engagement Module, is strengthening the connection between school staff and families. This project focuses on how tools like emotional journaling, goal-setting, and progress tracking, when shared with families, positively influence student attendance, engagement, and mental well-being. By empowering schools to involve families in meaningful ways, we see firsthand how this partnership supports better student outcomes.
This case study aims to:
• Highlight best practices in family engagement for supporting student success.
• Showcase how the ECINS Student and Parent Engagement Modules and tools like parent consent forms facilitate effective family-school collaboration.
• Measure the impact of consistent family communication on student outcomes such as attendance, mental health, and academic engagement.
We’re inviting other schools to join our research by sharing insights or data on their own family engagement efforts. Schools that participate will gain early access to findings, contribute to valuable educational resources, and have the option to be highlighted in the case study report.
Schools interested in contributing to the case study can get started with this quick survey.
