“We’ve basically created standardized processes for student mental health support across our network of schools using ECINS as the vehicle to carry out the program. The hope and the goal is to implement ECINS as the standard, streamlined platform for student support across the entire Uncommon Schools network.”
— Dr. Jillian Martinez, DSW, LCSW, Regional School Social Work Supervisor for the North Star Academy and Camden Prep School Districts
Organization:
Uncommon Schools is a network of public charter schools established in 1997. Uncommon Schools operates 54 schools serving more than 20,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade across Boston, Camden, New York City, Newark, and Rochester.
Challenge:
The North Star Academy/Camden Prep school social work team was challenged by an overwhelming demand for student support services, use of paper documentation and an insufficient electronic record keeping program.
Solution:
ECINS deployed the Case Management and Referral Management modules to the North Star Academy/Camden Prep school social work team ahead of the school year to work out user logistics, conduct training and customize the system to work within their established processes.
Results:
Today, the North Star Academy/Camden Prep school social work team has created standardized processes for student mental health support across their network of schools using ECINS as the vehicle to carry out the program.
